Camping
Camping content has gotten weirder over the past five years. Half of it is sponsored gear lists from people who unbox tents and never set them up. The other half is hardcore backcountry pieces that gatekeep car campers out of the conversation.
We do both. Most of our nights are car-camping with a partner, a Coleman stove, and a cooler full of breakfast tacos. Some are backcountry with a 14-pound pack and a Sawyer Squeeze. Both are camping. Both deserve good gear advice.
What you'll find in this category: tent reviews after a full season of weather, stove showdowns where we actually boil water with a stopwatch, sleeping pad comparisons across temperature ranges, and campsite-selection advice that comes from picking some really bad campsites.
What you won't find: 'best of' lists we wrote in an afternoon by reading other 'best of' lists. Affiliate-stuffed gear roundups for products we've never touched. Or the Reddit-stamp 'recommended by /r/Ultralight' that turns out to be a guy who tested it on his patio.
